Support and maintenance
Maintenance is a fixed monthly fee, quoted per system. It is part of every lease and optional if you pay on delivery. You know what it costs before you need it, and it does not change during the lease term.
From 25 euro a month, excl. VAT. What it costsSystems we did not build
We also support systems someone else built, with a support plan quoted the same way. It usually starts with a code audit.
What support includes
- Hosting, and keeping the system running and available - Fixing anything that breaks - Security updates and dependency maintenance - Backups and data recovery - For AI agents: watching the output, and moving the agent to another model when a provider retires one - A named contact who knows your build
What it costs
How much does support and maintenance cost?
Support and maintenance at Giants and Robots starts at 25 euro a month, excl. VAT. We quote the exact monthly fee once we have seen the system; it depends on the size of the system. It is part of every lease, and optional if you pay on delivery. Fixes outside the plan are charged at 125 euro an hour. Support plans for systems someone else built are quoted the same way.

- The size of the system - The response time you need - The hours of small changes included each month
What counts as new work
New features, new integrations and changes to scope are quoted separately. During the lease term they are spread over the remaining months, as set out in pricing.
After the lease ends
You own the code. You can continue on a support plan at a fixed monthly rate, move the system to your own team, or take it to another developer. Outside a lease, the support fee rises 5% on 1 January each year.
Is AI-built software any good?
Judge it by what it runs. Orbit ERP files excise and tax declarations to government authorities, where an error has legal consequences. Sipflow triggers invoicing and moves money between suppliers and operators. Pineapple Drinks Club takes live B2B and D2C orders every day. Software doing that work is either stable or it is not, and these are in production.
How we get there: a senior engineer owns the architecture and reviews what ships. A developer works alongside the agents. AI handles volume, not judgement. The review layer is the same one a traditional agency uses, and it is the part we do not cut.
We also audit other people's AI-built software as a service, which means we see the common failure modes regularly. We know what to look for because we look for it professionally.
What if you disappear?
You own the code. That is the point of lease to own. If we stopped trading tomorrow, your system keeps running and any developer can pick it up. We hand over code and documentation, and we train your team if you want that.
Why is this so much cheaper than an agency?
We do not carry a large permanent team. Senior specialists come in per project and agents handle the volume. Lower overheads, same quality of direction.
You are a small studio taking on a big build
The founder has run a distillery, an import and distribution company and a brand portfolio across 22 markets. The work in this portfolio includes a full ERP system and a live marketplace platform. Scope is not the issue.
What if it does not work out?
Custom software and AI agent projects at Medium and Large can start with a 30-day pilot. If you sign for the full build within 90 days of the end of the pilot, the pilot fee comes off the project cost.
