Cookie policy
The cookies and similar storage we use, what each one is for, and how to change your choice at any time.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. We also count browser storage, such as localStorage, as a cookie here when we use it for the same purpose.
We use them for two things only: to keep the site secure and remember your cookie choice, and, if you allow it, to measure in aggregate how the site is used. Nothing non-necessary runs until you choose in the banner.
Categories
We group storage into four categories. Necessary is always on. The rest are off until you turn them on.
- Necessary. Keep the site secure and remember your cookie choice. Always on.
- Functional. Remember choices you make, such as saved calculator answers. None at launch.
- Analytics. Measure, in aggregate, how the site is used, through Google Analytics.
- Marketing. Advertising and tracking across sites. None at launch.
