What does custom software cost?
Custom software from Giants and Robots comes in three build sizes — Small, Medium and Large — and you either pay on delivery or lease to own over 12, 24 or 36 months. From 5,000 euro for a Small build, excl. VAT; the calculator further down gives the exact figure for any size. Larger or more complex projects are quoted. Here is what sits behind the number.
The short answer
Three sizes, one simple rule: you own what you pay for.
- Small — a focused tool that does one job well: a calculator, a portal, a single workflow taken off spreadsheets.
- Medium — a system several people use every day, with a few roles and a couple of integrations.
- Large — the system a part of the business runs on: many roles, real data, integrations with the tools you already use.
Whichever size, you can pay on delivery or lease to own over 12, 24 or 36 months. At the end of a lease the system is yours — there are no per-seat fees and no licence to keep renting.
Five things that move the price
- Scope — how many screens, roles and steps the software has to cover. This is the biggest lever.
- Integrations — every other system it has to talk to (accounting, a CRM, a payment provider, a warehouse) adds work.
- Data — how much you bring in, how messy it is, and whether it has to migrate from an old system.
- Rules and edge cases — pricing logic, approvals and exceptions are where real complexity hides.
- External services — plugins, apps, APIs and any AI usage are billed to you at cost, and estimated in your quote.

Pay on delivery, or lease to own
Pay on delivery and you settle the project in milestones; maintenance is optional. Lease to own and you make a first payment, then a fixed monthly fee over your term, with maintenance included — and you own the system at the end. A lease costs a little more in total (it adds 5% a year of the term), but it turns a capital project into a predictable monthly line. See the full picture on the pricing page, or read lease to own vs SaaS for how this compares to a subscription.
Common questions
Is it cheaper to pay on delivery or lease to own?
Paying on delivery costs less in total, because a lease adds 5% per year of the term. A lease costs more overall but spreads it into fixed monthly payments and includes maintenance. You own the system either way.
What makes a project Small, Medium or Large?
Scope: the number of screens and roles, how much logic sits behind them, how many systems it integrates with, and how much data it moves. We size it with you before any work starts.
Can we test the idea before committing?
Yes. For Medium and Large builds you can start with a 30-day pilot for a fixed fee. If you go ahead, the pilot fee comes off the project cost. Not sure it needs a build at all? An AI scan is a cheaper first step.
